The Legal Services teamThe Legal Services Team is responsible for the delivery of legal services across ASIC and is instrumental in driving ASIC's reputation as a modern and effective regulator and enforcement authority.Legal Services is led by the General Counsel, Executive Director and comprises the following teams: Enforcement Legal Services, Regulatory Legal Services, Corporate Legal Services, the Hearing Delegates Panel, and the Legal Operations Team.The Criminal Law Team is expected to couple legal expertise with a contemporary approach to the delivery of legal services, including through the embrace of continual improvement, innovation, building efficient capability and the use of technology to optimise execution.The roleAs a Senior Lawyer, your role will include:

• providing advice, guidance, and assistance on all aspects of ASIC's investigation of criminal offences and the prosecutions of those offences, including policies relating to the exercise of ASIC's information gathering powers
• collaborating with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP) in relation to complex criminal prosecutions. They also consult with stakeholders and provide advice on legislative reform relevant to information-gathering powers, investigations, criminal offences and criminal procedures
• reviewing and developing criminal law policies and practices within ASIC.
