Senior Legal Counsel

The opportunity
We are seeking a talented Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at the Silverchain group of companies. Based at our Head Office in Osborne Park and reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing general legal and risk management support to Silverchain's national operations.
You will be an enabler and a team player with a passion to leverage your expertise to help to shape the rapidly changing face of complex health and aged care in the home for all Australians.
About you
- At least 7 years post admission experience
- Advanced legal knowledge in corporate / commercial law and corporate governance.
- Experience in aged care or health law is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the Silverchain Group.
- Experience supporting complex commercial transactions, including but not limited to strategic partnerships, technology transactions, and M&A will be viewed favourably.
- Sound experience in governance frameworks, policies, practices and strategies for a complex and diverse organisation.
- Experience working in an in-house environment will be well regarded but not essential.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to display confidence and clarity.
- Highly organized and methodical and have an excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to work autonomously and responsibly.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
