The Senior Legal Counsel - Technology & Procurement supports The Lottery Corporation by providing timely and effective legal support on technology and procurement related matters. This is initially a 12-month max-term contract opportunity with flexibility for the location to be based across our Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney offices.

What you'll do

  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to devise strategies and execute negotiations and arrangements that are in line with The Lottery Corporation's objectives.
  • Support the business to engage with technology suppliers and service providers to manage commercial and legal risk.
  • Proactive identification of legal issues and risks, and development of commercial solutions to maintain the appropriate risk balance.
  • Empower stakeholders with the knowledge and ability to self-serve certain transactional legal tasks.
  • Provide high quality advice to facilitate project outcomes.
  • Build, maintain and manage relationships within and across the organisation.

What you'll bring

  • Degree qualified in law
  • Admitted as a solicitor in QLD and/or NSW and/or VIC
  • Demonstrated legal experience either in-house or in private practice
  • Advanced knowledge of technology and procurement/contract law
  • Experience in complex procurement contract negotiations
  • Knowledge and experience in litigation, competition and/or intellectual property law
