Senior Legal Counsel

Our client is a leading global pharmaceutical company with iconic brands well known in Australia and overseas.

A corporate/ commercial lawyer with a minimum of 6 years PQE is sought to join the legal team and be involved in a broad spectrum of commercial matters that impact the company's various businesses. You will be part of a dynamic leadership team and will be dealing directly with key stakeholders including senior management.
  
Your responsibilities will include:

• Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Advising the business on a variety of legal issues including general commercial law, consumer law/marketing issues, IP, HR, and disputes.
• Advising and assisting on corporate law, regulatory issues, and, compliance.
• Involvement in business projects.
• Managing external lawyers.

A commercial lawyer with strong contract law experience and a broad commercial law background is sought. Strong technical legal skills and experience advising on commercial law, contracts, and compliance is sought.

You will advise on major transactions and projects including acquisitions and provide compliance training. Exposure to the pharmaceutical industry, advertising/claims, competition, will be favourably considered. 

You will be a strong team player who is able to proactively engage in cross functional teams to deliver practical solutions and achieve desired outcomes.

You will have an enthusiastic, pro-active, and commercial approach and, have a willingness to learn and take on new professional challenges.
