Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal/Commercial Manager specialising in Solar Farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This key role involves steering legal and commercial aspects of renewable energy projects.
As the Senior Legal/Commercial Manager, you will:

• Oversee the entire legal aspect of solar farm and BESS projects from initiation to completion.
• Provide expert legal advice on complex issues, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead legal negotiations for solar farm and BESS projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, providing expert legal counsel on complex transactions.
• Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with project development, operations, and contractual relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and implementation of solar and BESS projects.
• Stay abreast of industry regulations, advising the organization on legal implications and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification.
• Proven experience 8 years as a Legal/Commercial Manager in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar and BESS.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful deals.
• Ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
