Senior Logistics Engineer

As part of our Naval Combat Systems group, the Senior Logistics Engineer will be responsible for undertaking Logistics Engineering and obsolescence analysis activities in support of acquisition projects and sustainment tasks.

Further, the successful candidate will:

• Assist in preparation of ILS documentation and plans
• Undertake Logistics Engineering for acquisition and sustainment projects, as follows:
  • Reliability, maintainability and availability modelling and analysis
  • Failure mode, effects and criticality analysis
  • Reliability centred maintenance analysis
  • Level of repair analysis
  • Maintenance task analysis
  • Spares analysis
  • PHS&T analysis
  • Obsolescence management and analysis
• Liaise with the OEMs to identify, analyse and recommend corrective actions for equipment obsolescence problems, including development of costed corrective actions plans
• Undertake life cycle cost analysis for acquisition and sustainment projects
• Review supplier and OEM generated ILS plans, logistic support data, technical manuals and other ILS documentation as required

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.

Your skills and experience will include:

• Tertiary qualifications in Logistics Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent on the job experience
• Experience in Defence industry and its logistics practices and standards
• Sound experience in logistics and reliability and maintainability (R&M) engineering
• COTS based logistics experience
• Experience in the application of relevant military and commercial logistics standards
• Experience in LSA and R&M analysis tools
• Experience in preparing ILS inputs to tenders

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
