The roleAs part of our Naval Combat Systems group, the Senior Logistics Engineer will be responsible for undertaking Logistics Engineering and obsolescence analysis activities in support of acquisition projects and sustainment tasks. Further, the successful candidate will:Assist in preparation of ILS documentation and plansUndertake Logistics Engineering for acquisition and sustainment projects, as follows: Reliability, maintainability and availability modelling and analysisFailure mode, effects and criticality analysisReliability centred maintenance analysisLevel of repair analysisMaintenance task analysisSpares analysisPHS&T analysisObsolescence management and analysisLiaise with the OEMs to identify, analyse and recommend corrective actions for equipment obsolescence problems, including development of costed corrective actions plansUndertake life cycle cost analysis for acquisition and sustainment projectsReview supplier and OEM generated ILS plans, logistic support data, technical manuals and other ILS documentation as required Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role. About youYour skills and experience will include:Tertiary qualifications in Logistics Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent on the job experienceExperience in Defence industry and its logistics practices and standardsSound experience in logistics and reliability and maintainability (R&M) engineeringCOTS based logistics experienceExperience in the application of relevant military and commercial logistics standardsExperience in LSA and R&M analysis toolsExperience in preparing ILS inputs to tendersAs Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
