About the Role
We are delighted to release two senior roles, one is responsible for the North West region and the other for the South East. Both of these roles will be reporting to General Manager Works Delivery, both these roles are pivotal roles within the Service Delivery Portfolio. As the Senior Manager in Field Delivery you will be responsible for: leading the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance regimes across Service Delivery through strong engagement and coordination of Melbourne Water's Service Delivery teams, maintenance service providers and all other contractors.
- Each of these Senior Managers will make a significant impact on Melbourne Water's operations by implementing cutting-edge maintenance practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will have the autonomy to shape the future of maintenance delivery, leveraging your technical knowledge and leadership skills to overcome challenges and drive positive change.
- Both of these managers will lead by example, fostering a culture of health, safety and wellbeing within the maintenance delivery teams. Using your strategic vision and operational expertise will drive efficiency gains, cost savings, and enhanced service delivery, ultimately benefiting our customers and the wider community.
- The successful applicant will be deemed a SOCI critical worker.
- A valid Driver's Licence is required as this role demands daily travel, an operational works vehicle is provided.
About you:
- Both Senior Leaders will have extensive experience in leading large geographically dispersed teams of field and office based workers, and a passion for driving an inclusive safety culture and strategic process improvements. Fostering a high performance culture by setting clear goals, holding people accountable and managing performance.
- Each people manager will have high collaboration skills, engaging with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and industry partners to achieve shared objectives. You will be exceptional at communication, relationship management, with the ability to influence other senior leaders to achieve business outcomes, amongst conflicting project priorities.
- Strong people skills, you will have extensive experience with the operations, maintenance and process of large and complex natural infrastructure, mechanical and electrical plants and equipment.
- Extensive experience and detailed knowledge in one or more of the civil, mechanical, electrical or instrumentation disciplines or Natural sciences. With High Voltage knowledge highly regarded.
- Excited by leading innovation through technology / field technology across extensive fleet and equipment portfolios.
