The Technology Chief Controls Office (CCO) team is a Line 1 risk and controls team responsible for ensuring new and changing initiatives are assessed and there are adequate risk mitigations in place. Our team works in partnership with the Technology business functions to deliver safe, sound, and secure solutions with the application of:
Risk management framework and tools
Risk expertise and advice
Controls that are efficient, effective, sustainable, and automated
A greater preventative focus rather than detective
Risk processes that are simple to understand and apply

This role will work closely with leaders across Technology and the broader business to strengthen and drive effective risk management through insights and strategic risk governance reporting.
This role will assist Technology CCO to improve risk effectiveness and performance, help drive uplift activity and embed a strong and proactive risk culture. You will act as a trusted advisor regarding governance planning, highlight emerging risks to senior leaders and drive risk maturity as it aligns to the financial services sector.
A key responsibility for this role includes:
You will be expected to perform the following tasks in a manner consistent with CBA's Values and People Capabilities:
Provide insightful business intelligence to governing forums and board committees, to create transparency of risk outcomes.
Consult on opportunities to enhance the design of non-financial risk governance processes and compliance in the Technology Unit.
Partner with the business to support the execution of the business risk strategy, including advising on strengths, vulnerabilities and enhancements.
Proactively detect and anticipate responses to changes in the internal and external risk landscape that may impact the Groups risk profile.
Leverage business expertise and provide insights to the business for prioritisation of investments, interventions and enhancements to mitigate risk.
Work in an agile manner and across disciplines to facilitate rapid response to emerging risks.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and influence stakeholders at different levels.
Knowledge of Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks and/or governance processes
Sound experience in operational risk management, internal audit or related roles.
Sound experience in banking/financial services, consulting or equivalent experience in other industries.
