- Key role within our Government Affairs and Public Policy team- lead political engagement, enhance Westpac's reputation and advocate for positive change.
- Working independently and with the Head of Government Affairs and Policy, to ensure Westpac has strong relationships with key Federal and State politicians.
- Collaboratively leading the development and delivery of an orderly and effective plan of State and Federal political engagement for the Group Executive, including managing and developing pro-active engagement opportunities
- Monitoring, communicating and anticipating material political developments.
- Managing compliance obligations per mandatory disclosure requirements.
- Managing a variety of public policy and reputational issues in partnership with the business to ensure Westpac influences the best outcome for the bank and our customers.

And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.What do I need?To be successful in this role you will have experience as a former government official or political staffer, with a reputation for working collaboratively to proactively manage key political and policy issues at a senior level (Cabinet or Shadow Cabinet). You will bring significant experience in a relevant Government, industry group or business position.Your exceptional organisational skills will underpin a proven track record of managing and briefing senior stakeholders and producing high-quality written briefings.
