About Us and This Opportunity

Embark on an exciting journey with the First Nations Cancer & Wellbeing Research (FNCWR) Program, guided by the visionary Professor Gail Garvey within the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine.

This Indigenous-led and multidisciplinary initiative pioneers innovative research methodologies that honour cultural sensitivity and co-design principles. Fuelled by major competitive funding, including prestigious grants from NHMRC, ARC, and MRFF the program is a powerhouse of cutting-edge endeavours.

The Senior Manager will steer the course towards establishing and maintaining a national network for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers. Collaborating closely with the Executive Group, Cultural and Community Council, and the four program leads, this strategic leader ensures the efficient implementation of a transformative plan, fostering empowerment and optimal health for Australia's Indigenous communities. The FNCWR Program is not just a research endeavour; it's a dynamic force shaping the future of Indigenous wellbeing and resilience.
