In this role, you'll:
Join the Commercial & Supply Chain Function, that plans, sources, makes, delivers, returns, and enables supply chain services to customers across the Engineering & Maintenance Branch and the broader rail industry.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Supply Chain, you will manage a diverse team of specialists at a critical time of expansion, as Sydney Trains transitions it's rolling-stock maintenance and refurbishment management and provision.
The Rail Refurbishment Centre will operate as a Centre of Excellence for the management of all manufacturing and refurbishment (Make functions), with an existing business unit at Homebush for infrastructure materials, and a new business unit at Auburn for rollingstock materials delivered internally (or sub-contracted internally) by Sydney Trains. Responsibilities include supply chain refurbishment strategy, plans, policy development, and implementation.
This role is intended to be delivered on-site at the Rail Refurbishment Centre's Auburn and Homebush locations. There will be additional requirements to attend other Sydney based sites for visits and meetings.

About you
You are a qualified engineering professional looking to be a part of a positive change for the future. You'll be passionate about playing a pivotal role in ensuring refurbishment strategy and programs are delivered successfully and seamlessly integrated into the Sydney Trains operational environment.
It's essential that you have significant demonstrated manufacturing and/or refurbishment management (preferably rail related) experience, in addition to proven experience leading the development and implementation of robust manufacturing and/ or refurbishment management (preferably rail related) strategies and plans, and managing significant budgets.
You are a natural influencer with the capability of stepping up when required. You'll have the demonstrated experience leading a team of multi-disciplinary specialists, including facilitating their ongoing professional development, maximising on their performance to deliver diverse and complex operational services.
You are a change maker supported by high level analysis and problem-solving skills. As collaboration is key, you will have experience dealing with influential stakeholders and the ability to articulate complex concepts, ensuring the executive leadership team are well informed of your progress.
