The Senior Marketing Manager role is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing and communication programs to grow and support the sales efforts in our retail and institutional channels for Challenger Life. This hands-on role will report into the Head of Retirement Marketing and will have the support of a Marketing Manager and Marketing Associate.
This role is best suited to a proactive, collaborative individual who can work autonomously. Your ability to deliver results, work cross-functionally, and utilise your exceptional communications skills will be instrumental in your success.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in the Financial Services (Superannuation) industry, B2B marketing and digital marketing. You will be a motivated self-starter, who can work independently and collaboratively across Distribution, Product and Marketing and the wider business. You will have strong stakeholder management skills and be comfortable negotiating with senior stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and engaging content for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), with a focus on showcasing our compelling offerings and capabilities.
- Lead the development and execution of product marketing campaigns as well as tactical opportunistic campaigns.
- Lead the marketing efforts for the launch of new product, including crafting messaging and content to effectively position the offering in market, driving increased awareness and consideration.
- Develop clear value propositions and positioning statements for our offers and capabilities to resonate with our target audience.
- Drive the thought leadership program collaborating with key stakeholders and identifying PR opportunities.
- Support the activation of our partners by providing marketing support for onboarding and growth initiatives.
- Produce high-quality collateral materials, such as fact sheets, presentations, brochures, and case studies, while also generating engaging content for social media platforms, monthly newsletters, events, and website catering to institutional clients.
- Assisting the Head of Retirement Marketing with additional duties and projects as required from time to time.
- Keeping abreast of developments in the wealth management, superannuation and retirement income space and identify any industry trends or competitive insights that may contribute to new opportunities.
Role Requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience in a marketing role within financial services.
- Demonstrated track record of applying marketing problem solving methods utilising data insights and analysis to drive strong results.
- Proven experience defining, implementing, and optimising marketing strategies across channels, preferably with experience in superannuation.
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or similar.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
