How you will contribute

Working alongside the GM, Marketing – the Senior Marketing Manager takes responsibility in leading the operational marketing direction and strategic positioning of Paspaley Jewellery retail brand and Paspaley Group brands. (Wholesale, International Expansion, Properties, Winery, Agriculture, Aviation). 

You will manage the development and delivery of the marketing calendar and ensure the go-to-market planning is delivered in line to budget and profit targets. This is a highly dynamic role, as well as strategic, and will require leading a high performing team of 4 people, plus driving the support cross functionally of the Communications Manager & CEM Manager

This role requires a high level of organisation and the ability to manage internal stakeholders (Paspaley board, Group, SLT and cross functional teams) and external agencies to execute marketing initiatives to the highest standard.

Strategy Development 

  • Develop, communicate, and drive the execution of the long-term Paspaley (Retail and Group) marketing strategy for Australian and International markets, including research and data.
  • Ensure continued engagement with the Paspaley customer whilst recruitment to the brand, working cross–functionally with CEM team, structured partnerships, client events and omni-channel opportunities.
  • Work alongside the Merchandising, Operations (inc E-commerce), Wholesale, and International teams to develop an integrated plan.

Media – Paid & Owned & Creative Services

  • Develop and deliver paid media strategy (offline and online) whilst working cross functionally with Communications team.
  • Manage and analyse agency deliverables to agreed metrics. 
  • Manage media partners and publishers, delivery of creative asset production, to spec and on time. 
  • Lead creative response for all business units in the development and in some cases, execution of creative strategy, by business unit and by channel. (including digital).

Financial 

  • Management (monthly) within budget parameters.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions when required. 

Team Leadership 

  • Provide the planning and leadership to the Marketing brand team and wider marketing team, ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies, and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan. 
  • Management and coaching of direct reports. 

Who you are

Key Competencies 

  • Minimum 8+ years International Marketing experience in the premium luxury fashion & retail sector.
  • Trade marketing experience (co-op and partnership planning).
  • Strong knowledge of product management, product life cycle and segmentation, forecasting marketing sell through tactics to investment strategies.
  • Strong strategic capabilities for planning and briefing of activities. 
  • Proven Leadership qualities.
  • Ability to combine quantitative and analytic skills with creative thinking in developing and reviewing opportunities. 
  • Proven ability to work with the media, - Paid, owned, earned strategies
  • Judgment and mature business skills; the ability to develop trust of Leadership Team.
