Senior Medical Administrator:
The ESUS Centre is a new and innovative service dedicated to supporting individuals and their families in eating disorder treatment. Our innovative approach integrates multidisciplinary teams that offer comprehensive outpatient services and inpatient treatments through our newly established Outpatient Centre and Day Hospital.
Role Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Administrator to join our team on a full time basis to lead the Outpatient Administration Team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the leadership team to ensure ESUS provides timely access to care and delivers exceptional patient experiences, fostering a positive and enriching workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate the day to day running of the Outpatient Centre including but not limited to:
- Day-to-day general administration and reception functions within the business
- Manage outpatient bookings, diary management and clinic utilisation
- Managing the team including rosters, onboarding and training of new team members and ongoing training and development
- Billing processes including daily reconciliations of EFTPOS, Medicare and TYRO claims
- Participate in quality improvement activities to improve service delivery
- Work closely with clinical and day hospital teams to ensure patients are provided with a seamless access to their medical care and treatments within the Centre.
- Provide exceptional service and communication with patients, referrers and team members
Requirements:
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- Demonstrated senior administration or team leader experience from a medical or allied health practice, working directly with multidisciplinary teams
- Proven experience with Private Health Insurance and Medicare Billing systems
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office Suite, medical practice management software
- Knowledge of Xero or similar accounting system desirable but not essential
- A positive attitude and detailed approach to tasks A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a larger team.
- An eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
