Based in Newtown, this is a rare opportunity to work alongside leading Neurosurgeon. After more than a decade the current incumbent is vacating the role leaving a unique opportunity for a mature, passionate and professional Senior Medical Secretary to make this role their own.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to ensuring respectful and compassionate care is provided to all patients and will act as first point of contact for patients making appointments. You are motivated by making a difference and building a relationship with patients right through their treatment cycle.
Well suited to a Senior Medical Secretary who enjoys a variety of tasks you will be responsible for running clinics, the establishment and maintenance of all patient files, typing patient correspondence, surgery bookings and the accuracy of all billing and accounts.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Established career path in Medical Administration within a Private Practice context.
- Experience providing exceptional customer service in a medical context
- Meticulous attention to detail
- A strong customer service orientation with the ability to show empathy and build rapport with patients
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills including an ability to de-escalate conflict
- Medical typing experience desireable but not essential
- Ability to show discretion and maintain privacy concerning patient and Practice matters
- Flexibility and being prepared to do whatever tasks are required to ensure the smooth and professional running of the Practice
- High level Microsoft Office skills and experience with Genie or other Practice Management Software
- Must be comfortable receiving and reflecting on feedback
- Ability to work autonomously
