Strandline Resources Limited is an ASX listed mining company. We are currently ramping-up operations at one of the largest mineral sands mines in the world right now in Western Australia. The Coburn project will produce critical minerals of zircon and titanium - products that are used in everyday life applications.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-starting Senior Mining Engineer to join our operations readiness team. To be considered you will need to demonstrate strong experience in planning organising and supervising all mine activities. Preparing for future mine production and overseeing the development of the mine.
This role will be on an 8:6 rosterFIFO from Perth or DIDO from within the Gascoyne region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the development, implementation, and integration of the mine management system.
- Manage the sites mine production and planning
- Management of mine design and medium term Mine schedule
- Ensuring that effective daily, weekly monthly and quarterly planning and forecasting for operations, capital expenditure and production physicals are aligned with budget and targets
- Support to the long term mine planning process.
- Plan and manage overall execution of operations ensuring synergies between people, processes, and strategies to implement actions to deliver on business objectives.
- Mange the financial performance of allocated department or business area to achieve or exceed agreed targets. Implement initiative to improve cost effectiveness and risk mitigation.
- Provide leadership in shaping and modelling desired behaviours within the team.
Key Personal Attributes include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mining, or related discipline)
- Demonstrated competence in Deswik mine planning software essential
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a site based Mining Engineer
- Experience in mineral sands production is advantageous, but not essential
- Demonstrated ability in effectively managing mining contactors advantageous
- Proven experience leading and developing a team of high calibre mining professionals.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance
- An inquisitive mind into technology and innovation.
