The Senior Officer - PMO will manage the day-to-day activities of the PMO, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, running project management meetings or governance forums with key personnel and collaborating with leaders to develop projects and programs. Support project managers in delivery of projects or lead a project when required.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist department head and other users in accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, resourcing and justification.
- Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
- Manage the end-to-end PMO system (e.g. Sensei Altus or Monday.com) and manage onboarding of new users and licenses.
- Ensure governance frameworks and processes usage are tracked and monitored.
- Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.
- Governance and secretariat functions for monthly meetings (Governance & Investment Committee).
- Supporting Project Managers in Initiative Brief, Paper development and Project Plan development.
- Bachelor's degree in Administration, Business, or related field / equivalent on the job experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification will be advantageous.
- A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a Project Management capacity
- End-to-end project management, project governance or delivery experience understanding what governance, risk management, scheduling, resource management functions are in a project context
