- Responsible for the development of Traffic Management Plans including Traffic Guidance Schemes.
- Review of Traffic Management Plans externally prepared as part of permit requests for external/private works on Council Roads.
- Provide expert/specialist advice relating to Traffic Management organisation wide.
- Conduct traffic management audits and providing recommendations to improve safety and functionality on Council worksites.
- Monitor and review regulatory changes to ensure Councils approach remains compliant
- Raise the awareness of Council’s Traffic Management policies, practices and procedures and providing assistance to Council employees to implement them through regular site visits and awareness sessions.
- Support the coordination of traffic and road operations, and road corridor management.
- Develop, implement and maintain systems for auditing, monitoring and reporting.
- Exercising sound judgement, initiative and confidentiality including an ongoing review of business systems and processes within the unit as part of a continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive relationship with all key stakeholders.
- Support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment, which fosters creative problem solving and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain a positive organisational image, which promotes good customer relations and maximise the provision of a high level of service to enhance the customer experience.
- Department of Transport and Main Roads Traffic Management Design (Open) Qualification
- Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence that is current and maintained.
- Construction Industry White/Blue card.
