About your new team
We are committed to recycling and transforming waste management within the City. The Waste Business is undergoing significant change in order to achieve Solid Waste Strategy targets.
About your new role
Provide a high level of technical support for operational projects to the Waste and Resources Recovery Branch to ensure the effective operation of the City's Waste and Recycling Centres, Landfills and Weighbridge functions in accordance with relevant legislation, local laws and Council's policies and strategic objectives.

What you bring to your new role
You should have waste industry experience, an interest and qualifications and/or 5 years experience in a engineering discipline and project management skills are desirable. You will also be experienced in using MS Project software or similar tools.
An Engineering Degree or equivalent and 5 years experience in a similar industry
You will liaise and work with operational teams, consultants and service delivery partners/providers who will be developing and delivering infrastructure works.
You should have high level report writing and investigating skills to create and develop solutions based plans to upgrade existing and new waste facilities.
Projects include eg infrastructure upgrades on WRCs, major and minor, landfill works, assisting with filling plans on landfills, implementing new weighbridge software for commercial and domestic purposes.
