What does the job look like?
Join our team as a Senior Operations Manager in the Retail Business Unit overseeing daily transport operations to ensure safety compliance and customer satisfaction. This full-time Monday to Friday role involves managing financial performance, optimising processes, and driving continuous improvement. You will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance service and operational efficiency. If you have a strong background in transport operations and a passion for leadership, we want to hear from you! Key areas:
- Ensure commitment to safety, chain of responsibility, and compliance with licensing protocols, driving safety and compliance strategies with a practical and operational focus..
- Identify, evaluate, and address operational risks, focusing on innovation and continuous improvement across the transport network.
- Manage and develop direct reports and the wider workforce, ensuring high performance and positive outcomes across all operations
- Proactively manage the relationship with our customer, ensuring service excellence and addressing any issues promptly.
- Maximise resource utilisation, control costs, deliver service excellence, and maintain a focus on strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

- Minimum 3 years in a senior operational leadership position within the transport or warehousing industry

- Strong analytical skills to effectively manage financial performance, analyse KPIs, and implement process improvements
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and pressures while maintaining high productivity and operational efficiency
- Commitment to long-term career growth, focusing on developing a dynamic team and achieving long-term results
