The Senior Partnership’s Coordinator manages the day-to day relationships and deliverables of the nominated Zoos SA partners alongside the Partnership Coordinator. This role will play an integral role in supporting the Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager in the servicing and fulfilment of contractual obligations and contributes to the strategic growth of sponsorships.The primary purpose of this role is to account manage current Zoos SA partners and grow the partnerships portfolio and funding for Zoos SA.DUTIES
- Under the direction of the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager, create and implement sponsorship account management plans for an agreed portfolio of partners to ensure timely delivery of all contractual benefits to sponsors.
- In consultation with the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager, research, develop and foster relationships with corporate businesses, forming meaningful partnerships that generate substantial support for Zoos SA with shared value.
- Undertaking research and developing proposals for new corporate partnership opportunities.
- Facilitating the tender processes for commercial partnerships where required.
- Working with other departments within Zoos SA to identify funding opportunities.
- Supporting the Community Fundraising Manager with potential connections.
- Prepare and pitch documentation/PowerPoints and undertake negotiations.
- Presenting to external senior managers/executives/boards.
- Relationship management.
- In consultation with the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager, identify income growth and engagement opportunities within the current Zoos SA partnerships to maximize outcomes for both organisations.
- In consultation with the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager research, develop and coordinate grant opportunities to support Zoos SA Strategic Plan.
- Research and identifying grant opportunities.
- Develop the grant proposals (in collaboration with Zoos SA Manager’s)
- Ensuring compliance with all funding requirements.
- Accurate recording, reporting, and ensuring timelines are met.
- Working with other departments and their grant opportunities
- Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the Corporate Partnership Strategy as it relates to existing partners and partnership activities.
- Providing support to Zoos SA partners as the day-to-day company contact.
- Undertake routine administrative tasks and maintain all required records to an acceptable standard.
- Plan and implement a yearly event plan to thank, engage and retain current Zoos SA partners.
- Tertiary qualification in business, sales, social impact, communications, or equivalent experience.
- Account management experience within a not-for-profit environment.
- Proven relationship management skills and ability to research and develop new opportunities to achieve growth.
- Demonstrated ability and expertise in supporting corporate partner engagement and fundraising.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to take ownership of projects, and work to deadlines in a busy environment.
- Proven track record of securing medium to high level value corporate partnerships.
- Proven track record of developing corporate partner pitches and delivering the pitch to senior managers/executives.
- Proactive and customer service focused approach to work with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- High level organization skills, including the ability to prioritize workload and ensure the timely delivery of projects to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with a wide range of people at all levels of the organisation.

- Ability to generate ideas, think innovatively and problem solve.
- Well-developed Microsoft Office skills.
- To be successful in this role you must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a partnerships or business development in a Not for Profit and proven experience in the acquisition, management, and retention of partnerships.

- Required to hold a current SA driver’s license.
