About the role:
- Deliver finalisation and reconciliation of fortnightly payroll including Single Touch Payroll and Superannuation processes.
- Explore and seek continuous improvement opportunities, and effectively communicate ideas.
- Assist with developing and executing internal Compliance program of works for the end to end payroll activities.
- Proactively seek and share payroll related legislative and policy changes, enabling you to prepare and manage these changes within Payroll, as well as educate the team and be a subject matter expert.
- Implement and/or formalise payroll governance controls.
- Provide expert advice on possible implications to staff, business process and systems associated with payroll function during enterprise bargaining consultation.
- Manage all payroll audit requirements.
- Other ad hoc tasks
About you: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
- a minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience with a large organisation in a team leader or system role with a proven track record and
- passion for payroll improvement and compliance.
- Certified Payroll Specialist qualification or relevant tertiary qualification is highly regarded.
