Join the Advisory team
The Advisory team are a central hub of HR professionals who provide HR advice and support across both Kmart and Target. We're a highly engaged team who utilise phone and email channels to provide meaningful interactions and impactful solutions to our stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior People and Capability Advisor you will:
- Be the first point of contact in supporting our people leaders on conduct, performance, and other complex HR issues.
- Be responsible for managing non-work-related and workplace behaviour matters.
- Manage Fair Work Australia and other applications, including advocacy as required.
- Navigate through a variety of HR industrial tools to confidently make decisions and provide case resolutions for customers.
- Support the development of People & Capability Advisors in the team.
- Participate in People & Capability projects and tasks.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- Proven experience in providing HR Advisory services and guidance on HR related matters from the beginning through to resolution stage.
- Experience working in a generalist HR role with ER/IR exposure particulary in relation to disciplinaries, performance and non work related injuries.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience coaching people managers and team members to enhance their ability to interpret HR industrial tools, policies and processes.
- Great relationship building, communication, negotiation, decision making, influencing, coaching, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt and prioritise your workload.
- A pragmatic approach with the ability to problem solve, navigate through the grey and achieve a solution and outcome.
