To deliver high level pharmacy services and medication management services within the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service at Thursday Island Hospital as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/ customers of Queensland Health in accordance with National and State policies and initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical pharmacy services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
• Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and customer service with a high level of oral and written communication skills, negotiation and problem-solving skills, which enable effective liaison with staff and public at all levels, particularly in a cross-cultural environment.
• An ability to solve operational problems effectively in the day to day management of the Pharmacy Department and ensure integrity, discretion and tact in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.

Requirements for the role:

• The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree qualification in Pharmacy and full registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.
• Travel across the TCHHS may be a requirement of this position in commercial and/or light aircraft and 4WD vehicles.
