About the RoleWe are looking for a self-motivated, experienced pharmacist to provide a complete pharmacy service to a rural hospital, whilst integrating with the wider Grampians Health team of approximately 50 pharmacists.

The Stawell campus of Grampians Health offers an exciting opportunity to practice rural healthcare set in the relaxing foot hills of the Grampians National Park. Together with our team of pharmacy technicians you will be responsible for oversight and provision of pharmacy services to the Stawell campus with rotational responsibilities as required to the Horsham campus. Becoming a valued member of the multi-disciplinary and Pharmacy Services leadership teams you will work to extend and implement programs including Partnered Pharmacist Medication Charting (PPMC) and stewardship roles.

The successful applicant will be responsible for, or have oversight in the following:

• Provision of clinical pharmacy services to the Simpson acute inpatient ward and Medication Safety improvements
• Involvement/learnings/rotation through Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy treatment reviews and ordering
• Management of PBS claiming, particularly Efficient Funding of Chemotherapy programs
• Liaising with Senior Pharmacist colleagues across Grampians Health to deliver medication safety and quality project improvements to the Stawell campus including implementation of smart pumps, stewardship and EMR programs 
• Oversight of medication related activities in the Urgent Care, Perioperative, Residential Care and District Nursing departments
• Assisting Pharmacy Services mangers in further expansion of our technician role

Skills and Experience

• You hold a current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist. Possession of a post graduate qualification or working toward one is desired
• You hold a full Australian Drivers Licence
• You have extensive experience in delivering clinical pharmacy services
• Self-motivated, team-oriented Pharmacist who has the ability to problem solve
