SO4 are striving toward the production of high-grade Sulphate of Potash (SOP). Our Lake Way asset is located in the Goldfields region of Western Australia,15 kilometres south of Wiluna. We are about to enter a critical 3-phase process: Restart, the sale of the first commercial product, Nameplate, and Production.
SO4 is a fast-growing Perth based mining company developing its clean, green and sustainable Lake Way SOP Project.
The Senior Planner & Scheduler will oversee all aspects of projects, operations, and our integrated project scheduling for SO4.
THE ROLE
As the Senior Planner & Scheduler, reporting into the Head of Commercial & Contracts and working from our well appointed Perth office, you will develop, implement and maintain robust scheduling controls. This position is a key member of the Commercial team, supporting the business day to day scheduling, planning and some cost control activity. Project support through Schedule and controls that help risk management using industry leading project management tools, systems, and expertise.
You will be responsible for:
- Contractor/vendor programs
- Updatingand maintenance of project programs
- Liaisingwith project personnel
- Co-ordinate and lead regular schedule reviews.
- Ensure timely and accuratepreparation and maintenance of project schedules in tendering and execution phases
- Track and report on processesand outcomes
- Provide key dates, milestones, interdependencies, work breakdown structure and schedule critical path management
- Liaise with the project owners and project managers to manage and control resource capacity planning
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a candidate with 10+ years’ experience as a Scheduler/Planner preferably within or servicing the mining sector or large infrastructure projects, with previous project scheduling and planning experience, holding a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a similar field, and/or a Diploma in Business, Construction Management, Scheduling, Cost Management and/or Procurement.
You will have a track record and knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices, applicable government & commercial regulations & practices, and policies, procedures, and work practices.
You will possess an:
- An understanding of the Mining industry
- Sound comprehension of Planning methodologies and processes
- Have the ability to communicate with a confident and compelling message to a wide range of stakeholders
- Established approach on being able to effectively source, gather, interpret, and communicate quantitative and qualitative planning data
- Proven and current experience in the development and maintenance of detailed level 4 integrated Project schedules which include the provision of Engineering, Procurement & Construction services across a multi-disciplined construction site
- Current knowledge and experience of Project enabling environmental, mining and government permitting and approvals requirements, processes, and procedures
- Capacity to handle complex situations and make decisions under pressure
- Fosters close working relationships with employees and contractors
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of safety and environment management systems
- Demonstrated experience in cost control projects
