About the Position
The position is directly responsible for the enforcement of the provisions of the Monash Planning Scheme, investigating complaints and gaining compliance with planning requirements whilst providing operational and administrative assistance to the City Planning unit.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and Municipal Planning Schemes, and of relevant compliance procedures and techniques.
- Previous Planning Investigations or external investigation experience, including ability to document facts, compile evidence and keep records. Cert IV in Government Investigations an advantage.
- Ability to interpret and implement legislative controls and compliance procedures.
- Well developed interpersonal and written and oral communication skills – able to maximise compliance through facilitation of resolutions, able to liaise widely and to represent the organisation.
- Ability to manage time, prioritise work and meet timelines.
