This is a full-time, fixed term appointment in accordance with section 68 of the Public Sector Management Act 1994 - Employment of Ministerial Offices for the Term of the Government with a probationary period of three (3) months. About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and suitably qualified Policy Adviser to work primarily on the Health and Mental Health portfolios.
A background in health or Mental Health is useful, but not necessarily required. Experience in government providing high-level policy development and delivery will be highly advantageous.
In this role, you will be responsible for policy development, stakeholder engagement, analysis, monitoring and advice on complex and contentious issues relating to the Minister’s portfolio responsibilities. The Senior Policy Adviser will provide direct policy support to the Minister and plan and coordinate strategies to deliver relevant Government priorities. Be prepared for a fast paced, diverse and high volume workload.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dealing with a range of interesting and complex public policy issues associated with health and Mental Health.
