The Project Procurement and Contracts Directorate provides functional leadership and specialist procurement and commercial advice for ‘Construction’ related Infrastructure Project Procurement and Contract activities across the Department.
The Construction Commercial Advisory (pre-contract) section functions include:
- Providing specialist review and advice on proposed departures from standard contract terms, including negotiations on such departures.
- Reviewing and forming formal, legally enforceable, and professional contracts for Projects undertaken by the Directorate.
- Implementing and updating policies, procedures, frameworks, and templates relating to Construction Commercial Advisory activities.

Qualifications and Experience
A degree in Law (a practicing certificate is not required) will be highly regarded.
Special Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior to employment with the Department. Additional employment checks may be required relevant to the role being undertaken as outlined in the role statement.
Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.
Remuneration
ASO6 - $97,022 to $102,626 per annum
