We are recruiting for various roles across our area. We are looking for resilient and dynamic people with a wide variety of skills, knowledge and experiences to deliver our important outcomes. As a Senior Procurement Officer (Level 5) or as a Senior Procurement Specialist (Level 6), you will provide professional procurement advice to staff across the Department for all types of procurement with a focus on residential work, within the Housing and Homelessness Division.

This includes defining and facilitating better practices; working closely with Stakeholders, Project Managers, Contract Managers and Teams to ensure compliance with State and the Department of Communities Policies, Standards, Processes and procedures. Your responsibilities as a Senior Procurement Officer (Level 5) will include; Leads, supports and develops Contracts, Grants and Agreements, including Procurement Planning, Tender documentation and Evaluation, Contract formation and negotiations in consultation with Stakeholders.

Providing evidence-based advice and guidance to relevant staff on Procurement across Goods, Services, Community Services and Grants. Assisting in the provision of specialist advice on Procurement, Contract and Grant development, Extensions and Variations.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Procurement Specialist (Level 6) will include; Contributing to the development of Organisational Strategies, Policies, and procedures as they relate to Procurement and Contracting. Conducts Business planning and scopes allocated to Projects, including progressing new Contract development opportunities and participation in reengineering existing Contracts and / or Business practices. Providing specialist advice to internal and external Stakeholders on Procurement planning, Contract development and Management issues, including Contract renewal and extension Strategies.
