Do you have a passion for documentary storytelling and a desire to make the world a better place? Momentary is hiring a part-time Senior Producer / Production Manager to help us take our work to the next level!
Who are we?
Momentary is a Melbourne-based video production company that uses documentary storytelling to help brands connect with their community.
We believe that documentary storytelling is incredibly powerful - it can broaden our horizons, deepen our empathy, and help us tap into the stuff that makes us human. And that's what makes us different.
As a certified B Corp, we've produced hundreds of stories for many organisations that are working towards a more inclusive and sustainable world. But we're only just getting started.
What’s the gig?
The Senior Producer / Production Manager will work directly with the Founder & Creative Director (who is currently the sole employee at Momentary) to help realise the creative vision of each project.
You would manage all logistical aspects of a project from pre-production to completion, and make sure that everything gets done on time and within budget. As such, you will be the main contact for clients, crew and any other people involved in a project.
As we're a small company, you might be required to assist the Creative Director with others tasks outside of our usual video work (including concept development, marketing, team management, and improving workflows).
This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE) on a 6-month contract, and the successful candidate would need to come into our Brunswick East office for three days per week.
Who are we looking for?
We’re on the hunt for someone that believes in the power of documentary storytelling, and has:
- Experience working within a production company / agency (or freelance) as a Producer, Production Manager, Production Coordinator or a similar role,
- High-level organisation, communication, and project management skills,
- A passion for genuine collaboration, as well as the capacity to use initiative and work autonomously,
- A basic understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud (ie. InDesign, Premiere),
- A working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and project management tools, and
- A desire to contribute towards a more inclusive and sustainable world.
Applicants would ideally have experience producing documentaries (including shorts, features, and/or branded docs), but this is not a requirement.

Please note, it's best to apply for this role sooner rather than later (as we are likely to start interviewing applicants before the deadline).
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
