About the role
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join Jira Platform team. The Jira Platform powers the world's leading teams in more than 250,000 organizations across the globe. We are on a mission to make work flow, in companies ranging from disruptive startups to the largest companies in the world. We achieve this by enabling both Atlassian teams and external teams to create structured work solutions for knowledge workers across various markets.
The role we are hiring for will own Issue and Field configuration that:
defines which fields show up in Jira when users are creating an issue, working on an issue, or looking for an issue;
configures how to use different issue types, what fields are mandatory, what values are allowed, and many more;
As a PM for the most used Atlassian project configuration experience, you will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on how our customers use and perceive Jira.
Moreover, Jira Platform is leveraged by both internal and external (that is, Atlassian Marketplace) makers to build thousands of apps on top of, so you will directly impact the success of these makers through your work. This makes this role a unique mix of both product and platform product management.
We are seeking a Product Manager who will report to the Group Product Manager, Jira Platform, and will be responsible for defining as well as executing on the Field Configuration strategy in close collaboration with design, research, and engineering.
Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution of new features and improvements to Jira’s Field Configuration
Build relationships and work closely with a wide group of stakeholders and teams across Atlassian to understand their needs, handle dependencies, and collaborate on projects
Partner with internal and external makers (such as Atlassian Marketplace partners) to ship fabulous apps and experiences built on top of Jira.
Domain expert and go-to product person for your area of responsibility
Build an excellent understanding of our customers and signals from the market
5+ years of product management experience in a product-led company
A customer driven and data informed approach to solving problems and understanding impact. Experienced in using a mix of both qualitative and quantitative techniques
Experienced in taking ambiguous, large problem spaces and creating concrete strategies and plans
Experience with both product-focused and platform-focused product management highly desired, but not required
Deep technical understanding and appreciation for delightful user experiences is highly desired
