The Energy Programs team leads the delivery of over $115M in grant funding programs to Queensland businesses and households under key actions within the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan. An ideal candidate for this position would thrive in a dynamic and high-impact team and demonstrate resilience and ability to deliver outcomes and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
The team develops and implements consumer programs and initiatives - grants, rebates, energy efficiency upgrades and other innovations - through engaging with stakeholders and delivery partners, building customer relationships and administering partnership and delivery agreements and deeds. You and your team will liaise closely with service providers, decision makers at senior levels and other key project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of programs, business activities and service delivery, including leading specific project and program work packages and tasks.
- Manage your allocated workloads, meet deadlines and commitments and complete tasks within a tight timeframe independently or within a team.
- Liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of programs. This may include delivery organisations, government agencies and staff from key internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of program monitoring, evaluation and reporting to substantiate effective and efficient program governance and appropriate outcomes.
- Identify program risks and issues and develop and implement mitigation measures to effectively manage these.
- Conduct high-level research, interpretation, analysis and review of regulatory and policy issues pertaining to program development/delivery activities.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of technical reports, submissions, briefing notes, regulatory instruments, presentations, speeches, publications and correspondence.
Knowledge or experience with the following will be considered highly desirable:
- Queensland Consumer energy resources and enabling technologies, markets, policy and regulatory issues.
- Professional project management training.
