About the Role
TRONOX is recruiting for a Senior Asset Improvement Engineer(E&I) for a permanent position at our Bunbury Operations in the idyllic South West of WA.
The position is based at our Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) Refinery at Kemerton & Australind.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the successful planning, managing, execution and commissioning / completion of strategic capital electrical and instrumentation programs for Tronox Plants in accordance to Australian engineering codes and standards.
The role will also require working closely and effectively with the Production, Maintenance and T&I departments to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of key equipment.
Key Accountabilities
Key accountabilities of the Senior Asset Improvement Engineer (E&I) is as follows:
- Provide technical leadership to drive and support to E&I capital projects.
- Custodian for plant governance & compliance for E&I statutory equipment, methods and processes.
- Develop and manage medium-long term E&I asset management plans to achieve business goals (SQLCT).
- Develop, govern, and maintain systems/ processes & procedures related to E&I of the plant.
- Prepare and effectively administer budgets for E&I projects/programs and identify opportunities for costs reduction.
- Development of life cycle cost analysis to determine the optimum whole of life asset strategy
- Lead, prepare and engage in risk assessments workshops, facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of major plant E&I detractors.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need to possess:
- A Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Significant post graduate experience and in-depth knowledge in the following areas:
- Experienced in project management of capital projects for plant E&I systems.
- Experienced in HV/LV Switchgear MCC, HV Distribution, Transformer and Packaged equipment. Experienced in HV maintenance management systems.
- Strong working knowledge and experience of current applicable Australian E&I standards and Codes.
- Preparation of technical specifications, scope of works and associated capital project documentation.
- Managing work scope packages within the project budget and schedule requirements.
- CPEng or eligible for CPEng accreditation leading to NER Registration will be advantageous.
- High level of organisation, time and project management skills with the proven ability to multitask and operate effectively in a high pressure environment.
- A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously but also enjoys working in a dynamic team environment.
