A market leading head contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their growing business in their Sydney office. Projects will be of a health, education, government and commercial nature up to $150m+, experience with similar projects in these sectors or similar will be ideal. Candidates ideally would come from a tier 2 or tier 1 background with an excellent track record on similar projects. As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, high quality and profitable construction projects from conversion, through to hand over, finalization and review providing a high-quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Managing multiple projects concurrently at various stages of construction from inception to completion through the full project life cycle Oversee financial management, planning and programming on all projects Conduct regular programme and internal project audits Manage dispute resolution between both clients and subcontractors Review and improve construction methodologies Supervise the recruitment, induction and development of project based staff, ensuring regular performance feedback occurs Ensure industrial relations issues are resolved and industrial arrangements are up to date Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or similar Minimum 10-15 years’ experience within the construction industry – from ideally a tier 1 or 2 background would be ideal Construction Safety Induction (White) card Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Jobpac is preferable Strong financial analysis and administrative focus Good negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills This is a permanent full time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
