Senior Project Manager

• Maximum term contract until September 2029
• Full time | 76 hours per fortnight

The Role

The City is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of large and complex capital works projects. The proposed portfolio valued up to $40 M will provide an interesting and challenging mix of civil infrastructure and community facility projects. As such, the ideal candidate will have a multi-disciplinary skill set to work across a range of projects.

Skills and Experience

As a collaborative member of the Infrastructure Capital Works team, you will be experienced in project management, and thrive working in a very busy and change driven organisation. Through your CV and covering letter, you will be able to demonstrate that you meet the following capabilities:

Qualifications, Requirements and Experience:

• University degree in relevant discipline such as civil engineering or architecture.
• Significant experience in a Senior Project management role delivering complex capital works projects within a large and complex organisation.
• National Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
• C class Drivers Licence.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Advanced communication (written, verbal and public speaking) and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced research and analysis skills.
• Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
• Advanced organisational skills.
• Advanced skills in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology.
• Extensive knowledge of project management, resource planning and budget management.
• Knowledge of the practical application of occupational health and safety measures in the workplace, including risk assessment and control implementation.
