Senior Project Manager Weir MineralsBrisbane or Sydney, AUSHybrid The Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful launch of projects, meeting critical milestones in scope, schedule, financials, and overall quality across the Weir Minerals Division Technologies business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all members of the cross-functional project team understand and execute their role, feel empowered and supported in the role, know the roles of the other team members and act upon the belief that those roles will be performed. The role will plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion. Instrumental to the success of this role will be the ability to coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management. We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities:Managing planning and delivery of enterprise-level (higher dollar/higher impact & visibility) projects.On-time, on-budget delivery of projects within client/ organization expectations.Coordinating projects with business Project Managers.Maintaining appropriate project documentation levels to communicate project plans, requirements, schedule, budget, risks and solutions.Managing substantial budget vendor/consultant relationships to deliver project goals.Providing support and mentorship to Project Managers within the PMO department.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Suitable professional qualification and specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise gained through minimum of 8 years related experience. Significant practical experience and knowledge in manufacturing, purchasing and sourcing in an industrial manufacturing setting is desirable.Experience of leading and motivating a team with day-to-day operational control over end results.Proven experience of managing systems and processes in a corporate operational environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to operate with tact, diplomacy and integrity as required.Founded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
