The Opportunity
Maritime is responsible for a multimillion-dollar program of transformational waterfront and infrastructure projects along the Western Australian coastline for the benefit of the WA community. You will have opportunities to visit these facilities across the state.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer with proven experience in the development of Business Cases to join our team on a permanent basis.
This is a newly created position, whereas a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing Business Cases, budget submissions and coordination of activities that support and lead to the formal establishment of significant maritime projects in Western Australia.
Current projects include delivery of precinct master plans to transform and revitalise Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, Hillarys Boat Harbour, and Exmouth Boat Harbour and the development of Business Cases to implement these plans.
As part of leading and preparing Business Cases for State budget committees that will bring major projects to reality, you will be responsible for the development of budget submissions, operating models, and cost benefit analysis.

This is a permanent fulltime opportunity available for immediate filling.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be experienced in leading the development of Business Cases and budget submissions for strategic projects including significant waterfront and maritime infrastructure projects.
You will be a strategic thinker with highly developed research, analytical and evaluation skills. Training and skills in economic research and trends, coordination of cost benefit analysis will be highly regarded. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be highly collaborative, with experience in the scoping and supervision of consultancy and contract services.
Experience in preparing detailed project budgets, including for capital works and operational allowances, would be a valuable addition to this role.
