ABOUT US
Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council was founded and is still led, governed and directed by women from the NPY region. It was created to give a voice to women across 26 desert communities in the cross-border regions of Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Today, we continue to provide progressive, innovative and evidence-based work in service delivery, advocacy and support.
At its core NPY Women’s Council is about family and community – walytja. Our purpose is to work with women, children and their families of the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara region in central Australia. Our role is to work side by side and help increase their capacity to lead safe and healthy lives with improved life choices.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Child and Family Wellbeing Service covers a number of program areas that include therapeutic targeted family support for children and their families at risk of child protection intervention; Child Nutrition & Development services focussed on addressing growth faltering in children aged 0-5 and advocacy and kinship services for Anangu who have an interface with the child protection services across the tri-state region.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This dynamic role will spearhead the development, execution and coordination of the transformative Improving Multidisciplinary Responses Program. Working in tandem with the Anangu Project Officer you will work with Anangu to determine new and innovative ways to meet the multiple and complex needs of children and their families in the region.
ABOUT YOU
You will have tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Community Development and/or relevant experience. You will also have the ability to work with a high level of autonomy and have Project management experience with familiarity of working in a remote community or setting where flexibility and extensive travel is required.
