The Opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for a Project Manager and a Senior Project Officer to join a newly formed team who will lead the roll out of agile adoption across the division. You will be supporting projects that deliver against whole of government strategies and strategic policy implementation across a broad range portfolios.
You will lead your own projects as well as provide support and guidance to teams on implementation of project management frameworks and adopting agile ways of working.
The Project Manager is a leadership role. You will lead projects and support staff across the division to implement projects, coordinate resources, and oversee planning and reporting to drive delivery of outcomes.
The Senior Project Officer will support and coordinate projects and assist staff across the division to implement projects.
About You:
- You will have experience delivering projects in similar complex environments and/or human services.
- You know how to leverage your strong communication and relationship building skills to engage, influence and drive towards outcomes through people.
- You are comfortable in change and transformation environments.
- You love a challenge, have a curious mindset, and can work collaboratively to balance shared deliverables and personal accountability.
- Experience with Agile project management is preferred but not essential.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months across the Department of Communities. The roles are full time, however part time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate/s.
