This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the new Education Futures Institute in the Queensland Department of Education. We are seeking applications for multiple AO6 Senior Project Officers. The Education Futures Institute is a key system initiative in the department's education strategy, Equity and Excellence: Realising the potential of every student, to empower departmental staff, educators, school and system leaders to build professional expertise through high quality, targeted capability development across their career. These positions are offered on a temporary full-time basis until 5 January 2025 unless otherwise determined.

Your role
As a Senior Project Officer, you will play an important role supporting the delivery of a coherent and system-wide approach to high quality, targeted capability development for all departmental staff.
Expertise in one or more of the following key functions will support the work of the Education Futures Institute. Key functions of this role include:
- Leading Institute operations including logistics, event coordination, administration and venue management
- Supporting purchasing and procurement including coordination of Branch processes, partnership and processes, in line with departmental policies and requirements
- Undertaking human resources and administration support across the branch such as establishment management, recruitment support, payroll verifications, Alloc8 management, and HR reporting
- Providing advice and support to branch senior leadership team and regional campuses as required
