Senior Project Support Officer

Randstad has partnered with a Queensland Government department to recruit a Senior Project Support Officer. Due to the impact of flood events in recent years, a substantial amount of funding has been committed to initiatives targeting educational institutions susceptible to disruptive flooding events.Responsibilities:

• Participate in project teams to support departmental strategies for infrastructure and resilience issues
• Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to coordinate projects within the program
• Assist in strategic planning, reporting, and risk management activities
• Monitor and administer project budgets, cash flow projections, and financial reporting
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across divisions and government agencies
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
• Prepare Ministerial responses, reports, and briefing materials
• Conduct high-level research, analysis, and provide support on strategic issues
• Assist with procurement of technical consultants

Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrates sound governance and risk management practices
• Highly organized with the ability to handle competing priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
• Experience in communications and engagement activities, particularly in infrastructure projects

Formal qualification in Project Management, Architecture, Town Planning, or related technical disciplines would be highly regardedIt is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
