In October 2023, Australian federal, state and territory Health Ministers and Chief Executives approved a design phase for a national initiative to link primary health care and hospital data using privacy-preserving record linkage. The initiative will enable cross-jurisdictional and federal¬–state data exchange to provide a whole of health landscape view of patient journeys, to be used to inform design of health services and system improvements. The initiative will leverage the benefit of existing projects where possible, such as Lumos (NSW), TasLink and the Queensland Health ATHENA initiative.For more information visitAbout the Role
The Senior Project Officer manages and coordinates the development and implementation of National Data Linkage Project design phase project strands, including national consultation on the design phase domains (scope, data sharing governance, privacy and legal, data management and technology, funding and execution) to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.How to apply

Selection Criteria * Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of the health system and policy priorities, or capability to quickly develop a working knowledge of the health system.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience working in a stakeholder engagement team on large-scale transformation projects or in a large, diverse organisation.
• Experience supporting and developing business and communications strategies and plans across health or similar industry, including high quality written material and online content, reports, briefs and correspondence.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in project management including scheduling deliverables, planning resources and budget management.
• Analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience engaging, collaborating, and influencing key stakeholders and customers to influence and achieve change.
• Superior organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.
• Proven capacity to develop and implement complex strategic initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage.
