Senior Project Officer
The Senior Project Officer within the Major Projects directorate contributes within project teams, comprising in house and private sector professionals, to plan and deliver larger projects for government. Responsibilities include managing project outcomes inclusive of management of contracts, contractors and consultants.
The Senior Project Officer position within the Building and Contracts directorate is responsible for delivering a high volume of minor works projects. The projects can involve refurbishment work, building services upgrades, roof replacements and asbestos removal. The Senior Project Officer will often need to procure and coordinate consultant teams for investigations, to define project scope and to develop design documentation.
Project Manager
The Project Manager position is within the Major Project directorate and is responsible for the project management of medium to high risk and medium to high value projects. The role leads project teams of in-house and private sector professionals to plan and deliver larger projects for Government.
Whilst there are currently two Senior Project Officer and one Project Manager positions available for filling, similar positions across Finance may become available within a short period of time and may be filled using this process.
About You:
You are a dynamic, self-aware and self-motivated individual that achieves results. You have demonstrated project management skills and experience using best practice methodology preferably in the building/construction industry. Good communication skills are also required for cross agency project delivery.
