• 2x Senior Project Officer roles; 1 ongoing and 1 temporary up to 2 years
• An exciting career opportunity for someone interested in working with a range of government, corporate and non-government stakeholders to support the communities of NSW preparing for and recovering from disasters.
• Join the newly formed Preparedness and Recovery Division at the NSW Reconstruction Authority.

• Clerk Grade 9/10 Salary ($120,859 - $133,183) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority), a statutory corporation within Planning & Environment cluster within the NSW Government, was established to proactively reduce the impact of future disasters across NSW and to help communities recover from them faster.
We will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses, and all levels of government to reduce the impact natural disasters have on our lives.
When disasters occur, our staff will work closely with emergency services and community leaders to understand what local communities will need to recover. Once the immediate threat has eased, we will lead recovery efforts in collaboration with community leaders and other recovery partners.

About the role
As the Senior Project Officer within the Recovery Readiness, Policy and Plans branch, you will manage and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects and work with a high level of autonomy to delivery work assignments and projects on time. The role will require you to maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication and engagement as well as undertake research to formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning.

Key challenges:

• Managing consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests
• Achieving project deadlines and milestones to the required standards and within budget, given the need to simultaneously coordinate and deliver multiple projects which are often complex and interconnected.

Essential requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant knowledge and experience (Emergency Management preferred).

About you
We are seeking an experienced project and stakeholder engagement professional to enable and support our recovery partnerships.

Your experience:

• Project management and evaluation.
• Stakeholder collaboration and engagement
• Disaster management and recovery operations (desirable)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level project management experience.
• Ability to balance competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
• Organised and efficient working style.
• Passion for supporting the communities of NSW.
