Property and Construction Division (PCD) is responsible for management of the Commonwealth's non-Defence domestic property portfolio and specified capital and remediation projects, and provides policy advice, guidance and support on managing Commonwealth property, land and public works across the Government.
The Portfolio and Contract Management Team is responsible for the management of Finance's property portfolio of approximately 60 mixed use properties across the country. The team's work is undertaken in close consultation with Finance's outsourced property service provider Ventia, and includes project and facility management, tenancy management, contract management, heritage and environmental management activities. The team engages collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
PCMT is seeking a high performing, experienced property officer with experience in the management of heritage properties to support the management of the Department's owned estate portfolio.

Specific duties include:
- management of the heritage requirements of the portfolio in accordance with the requirements of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Act 1999 (EPBC Act) including but not limited to the preparation and/or review of the departmental Heritage Strategy, Heritage Management Plans and Heritage Impact Assessments;
- management of the compliance program and procurement/contract requirements for the Portfolio and Contract Management team;
- supervising staff in procurement and contract management, and providing financial management and other administrative support;
- provide timely and quality advice to key stakeholders and the PCMT, in relation to heritage and compliance issues;
- review and quality assess reports and correspondence provided by Ventia, to ensure it is fit for purpose, consistent, and adds value;
- manage stakeholder engagement and the relationships between Finance, Ventia and tenants;
- contribute to the strategic management and direction of the FOE;
- drive continuous improvement to work processes within and across the team;
- contribute to the strategic branch/division outcomes via involvement in activities such as business planning; and
- represent Finance at meetings and working groups, and maintain effective relationships with government departments, stakeholders and external parties.
