Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class ‘ETCS' signalling system.

About the Role
The purpose of the position is to support the Delivery Authority's Land team monitor and implement the land access and operational tenure programs for the Cross River Rail Project and other ‘transport related projects' prescribed under the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority Act 2016 (including three new stations on the Gold Coast).
The position has responsibility of leading the development and implementation of:
- Land access and acquisition strategies to support project delivery; and Title and tenure strategies and processes to support operational readiness and land transfers; and
- Supporting the management land access arrangements for project delivery, including consultation with State Government Departments and other external stakeholders, and liaising with delivery partners regarding land access arrangements (including handback) and project delivery and operational land requirements.
Please note that this opportunity is offered as a contract role until April 2026 with possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage arrangements for land/property assets acquired, leased or licensed by the Delivery Authority until these assets are handed over to or received back from the Project
- Prepare and implement documentation to secure the project's operational land requirements.
- Lead land handover packages as requested.
- Identify and achieve appropriate tenure outcomes and implement title corrections of State-owned land associated with project delivery and future operations, and support Government objectives relating to Cross River Rail Priority Development Areas.
- Interface with internal business units on general land related queries and property information to support decision making.
- Prepare advice and reports on the operational tenure program, including scheduling, cost and

About You:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key competencies:
- Proven skills and experience in land dealings involving various tenure or transaction types in a government context, including an understanding of tenure arrangements in rail corridors.
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a team to achieve land access outcomes using negotiated and statutory
- Anticipates barriers to outcomes and finds solutions to emerging risks/problems to ensure delivery of the scheduled acquisitions.
- Ability to work autonomously including setting priorities, tracking performance to meet deadlines and escalating when appropriate.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to create appropriate documentation and correspondence related to land acquisition and develop and maintain successful working relationships and stakeholder engagement.
