Position: Senior Quality Assurance Officer
Reports to: Quality Manager
Primary Purpose: As a Senior Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a vital role in our client's Quality Team, reporting directly to the Quality Manager. In the absence of the Quality Manager, you will assume responsibility, ensuring the continuous improvement of our Quality and Food Safety programs while maintaining compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements across both our Revesby and Marrickville sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure workplace health and safety standards are maintained, promoting a culture of safety first.
- Uphold and demonstrate our Core Values of Together, Committed, Authentic, and Creative.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct audits, and maintain certification records.
- Oversee material assessment and control processes, including risk assessments and approvals.
- Coordinate product and material quarantine status, ensuring timely disposal of expired materials.
- Facilitate internal and customer audits, including participation in HACCP risk assessments.
- Support the implementation of Quality Management Systems, assisting with document control and SOP drafting.
- Act as a leader and mentor, covering for absent team members and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing or manufacturing processes.
- Experience with HACCP, GMP, and QMS.
- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
