Positions: Senior Recruitment Advisor APS4 + Recruitment Advisor, Surge Recruitment APS5
Location: Canberra, ACT
Purpose of the Roles:
1. As a Senior Recruitment Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Recruitment team and broader agency in the administration of matters related to end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, including internal movements. This role involves handling moderately complex tasks within the area of public sector recruitment at APS 4 level.
2. The Recruitment Officer supports the Senior Recruitment Officer in the administration of matters relating to Surge Recruitment including elected Program within the People Branch, including participating in section planning for short term tasks and work area planning for longer term initiatives.
Key Position Responsibilities:
- Process and provide advice on onboarding and internal movement requests, including submitting selection process outcomes.
- Prepare letters of offer and initiate pre-employment checks.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on recruitment requests.
- Provide support to recruitment and onboarding projects as required.
- Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships and assist in resolving simple to moderately complex issues.
- Deliver high-quality, timely, and client-focused advice.
- Contribute to the maintenance of records and employee files.
- Make decisions guided by expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, and best practice principles.
- Contribute to election preparation and delivery activities in accordance with the election readiness framework.
- Update standard operating procedures or guidance to communicate process, system, and/or legislative changes as required.
- Security Clearance: Baseline clearance and character clearance, including a police check.
- Ability to achieve quality results with close attention to detail and a commitment to ongoing improvements.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals.
- Strong commitment to customer service with experience in human resources, administration, or recruitment to provide accurate and professional advice.
- Efficient time management with the ability to prioritize competing demands within legislative parameters.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within a team environment while working under pressure.
- Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
- Knowledge and understanding of assisting with the development and implementation of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.
